About This Memory Match Flashcard Game

This free online memory card game pairs each term with its definition across four core subjects from the Class 6 to Class 10 syllabus. Instead of random trivia, every pair links directly to something you study — making each round a mini revision session in disguise.

Choose from Science (Photosynthesis, Osmosis, Electron, Nucleus and more), History (Dandi March, Quit India, Partition, Civil Disobedience), Grammar (Metaphor, Simile, Passive Voice, Conjunction), or Geography (Delta, Glacier, Tributary, Plateau). Each subject has a pool of 12 term-definition pairs; the game randomly picks 8 per round so no two games feel identical.

The classic flashcard flip mechanic works your spatial memory and active recall simultaneously — you must remember both what the card says and where its pair is hidden. Research consistently shows that active recall is more effective for long-term retention than re-reading notes.

Your move count and personal best score per subject are saved in your browser so you can track improvement over time. A lower move count means fewer wrong flips — a direct measure of how well you know the material.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play Memory Match?

Choose a subject, then click any card to flip it. Click a second card to try to match it. If the term and definition are a pair, both stay face-up. If not, both flip back after a short pause. Match all 8 pairs to win.

What subjects are covered?

Science, History, Grammar, and Geography — all aligned to the CBSE and WB Board Class 6–10 syllabus.

How is scoring calculated?

Your score is the number of moves (pairs of card flips) to complete the board. Fewer moves = better score. Your personal best per subject is saved in your browser.

Is it good for exam prep?

Yes. Every term-definition pair comes from school textbook content. Repeated matching builds vocabulary recognition and recall — exactly what exams test.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes — the game is fully touch-optimised and works on any modern smartphone or tablet browser.
