What is Lovable?
Lovable is an AI app builder: you describe what you want in a chat, and it writes real, working code and shows you a live preview you can click through, not just a mockup. It's aimed at web apps: landing pages, dashboards, internal tools, and small products.
Under the hood it generates an actual React and Tailwind codebase, which is what lets it connect to a real database, sync to GitHub, and get published to a real URL rather than staying a throwaway demo.
Getting started
- Go to lovable.dev.
- Sign up with an email address, or continue with a Google or GitHub account.
- Describe the app you want to build in the message box, and press Enter.
- Wait for the first build, then keep chatting to add pages, features, or fixes.

Prompting tips
- Describe the app's purpose and main pages up front, rather than one vague sentence.
- Make one change at a time; small, specific edits are easier to get right than big rewrites.
- Mention the data you need to store early, so it sets up the database correctly from the start.
- If something breaks, describe what you expected versus what actually happened.
- Use the chat history like a to-do list: tackle layout first, then behavior, then polish.
